Federico Garcia Lorca

Federico Garcia Lorca (1898 – 1936) is generally considered to be one of the greatest Spanish writers.

Although best known for his poems and plays, Lorca was also a gifted painter, actor and musician: he sang, and played both piano and guitar.

With Manuel De Falla, he compiled a collection of Spanish folksongs, thirteen of which he arranged for voice and piano accompaniment.
